Funeral services for Harold “Eddie” Edward Bailey, an Atoka, OK resident, (grew up in Panama, OK and lived in Poteau, OK for many years), were held Monday January 30, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Rev. Donnie Day and Justin Humphrey officiating. Burial was in Milton Cemetery in Bokoshe, OK with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bailey was born September 29, 1952 to George Edward and Anna Jean (Brindle) Bailey at Bokoshe, OK and passed away January 25, 2023 at Atoka at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 27 days. He attended Bokoshe and Panama Schools and was a brick and rock mason, owner and operator of McGee Creek Rock and Stone and Rock Creek Ranch Rock Co. He married Susan Elizabeth (Kinman) April 14, 1983 at Poteau, OK and they celebrated over 39 1/2 years of marriage before his passing. Eddie was of the Baptist faith. He was a charter member of the Eagles Club in Spiro, OK, enjoyed fishing, hunting, owning race horses, and loved telling jokes and stories mostly visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Susan Elizabeth Bailey of the home; children, Amanda Tomlinson and husband Daniel of Pauls Valley, OK, Jason Urchison and wife Lacy of Monroe, OK and Jennifer Urchison of Sherman, TX; grandchildren, Connor Doyle, Colby Doyle, both of Durant, OK, Lynna Tomlinson, Audrey Tomlinson, Wyatt Tomlinson and Sylas Tomlinson, all of Pauls Valley, OK; sister, Georgia Bailey of Panama, OK; brothers, Johnny Bailey, David Bailey and wife Sherry, and Carl Bailey and wife Glenda all of Panama OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Edward and Anna Jean (Brindle) Bailey; brother, Steve Bailey and sister, Vickie Bailey.

Casketbearers were Michael Hooper, Rick Hunt, Craig Jones, Cade Humphrey, Justin Humphrey and Matt Weaver. Honorary bearers were Johnny Bailey, Colby Doyle, Rusty Branch, David Bailey, Carl Bailey, Connor Doyle, and Larry Sheffield.
