Nettie Dean (Kirtley) Adams, a Harrah resident, passed away December 7, 2020 at her home in Harrah, OK surrounded by her family. She was born June 25, 1935 to Arthur Debs and Louise (Hamlett) Kirtley at Lebanon, OK at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 12 days. She attended schools in Oklahoma and was a housewife and seamstress. Nettie married Robert “Bob” Bert Adams on December 29, 1984 in Mt. Pleasant, TX. They resided in Coalgate. He preceded her in death November 30, 2013. Nettie was a loved and respected wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1957 and served as a full-time pioneer for several years. Nettie resided in Harrah, OK with her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Kevin. She helped care for her parents and worked as a seamstress with her sister Mattie for many years Nettie loved gardening, sewing and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sister, Mattie Hampton and husband, Eddie of Coalgate; daughters, Connie Merritt and husband Edward of Coalgate, Gail Ledford and husband Jess of the Dominican Republic, Barbara Baugh and husband Kevin of Harrah, OK and Hazel Perryman of California; sons, Mike Bias and wife Laura of Bartow, FL, Danny Bias and wife Margarette of Hugo, OK, Jesse Bias and wife Lorie of Montgomery, TX and Tim and Reanna of Auburndale, FL; stepchildren, Jack Adams and wife Beverly, Scott Adams and wife Renee, David Adams, Robert Adams, Thomas Adams, Helen Stevenson and husband Robert, Michael Adams and wife Arlene and Rebecca Kite and husband Jay; 42 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert “Bob” Bert Adams; and son, Robert Dale Bias.

The family will have a private memorial service later on.

Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate is in charge of arrangements.
