Graveside services for Hazel Juanita (Davenport) Glasco, a Coalgate resident, were held Wednesday (today), December 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Coalgate Cemetery with Bro. Bob Lewis officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Glasco was born July 11, 1925 to Ezra Clyde and Birtie Lee (Manis) Davenport in Coal County and passed away November 29, 2020 in Coalgate, OK at the age of 95 years, 4 months and 18 days. She attended Olney School and married Homer Lee Glasco. He preceded her in death April 2, 2007. Hazel worked at Blue Bell, the Five and Dime Store and retired as a florist for the Coalgate Flower Shop. She was a longtime member of the Coalgate First Baptist Church. Hazel volunteered for meals on wheels, at the church and election board. She enjoyed her time taking her younger friends places, loved her dogs and was a HUGE OU fan.

Survivors include a son, Donald Lee Glasco of Coalgate; grandchildren, April Glasco of Tulsa, Michael Glasco and wife Suzie of Coalgate, Misty Smith and husband Justin of Holdenville, and Kyrstan Cagle and husband David of Durant; greatgrandchildren, Austin Glasco, Andrew Glasco, Devin Clagg, Jorja Smith, Joby Smith and Jakoby Cagle; sister, Geraldine Davis of Clarita, OK; sister-in-law, Leeta Glasco of Purcell, OK; daughter-in-law, Janeen Glasco of Maryland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Jimmy Glasco and Gregg Glasco and brothers, J. E. Davenport and Lloyd Davenport.

Casket bearers were Larry Davis, Ronnie Davis, Austin Glasco, Andrew Glasco, David Cagle and Justin Smith.
