Funeral services for Robert Mose Cooper, a lifelong Atoka resident, were held Friday, June 17, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Coal Creek Presbyterian Church in Atoka, OK with Rev. Sara Sherrill officiating. Burial was in Nowabbi Family Cemetery in Atoka with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cooper was born October 20, 1971, to Raymond Mose and Lillie Mae (Nowabbi) Cooper at Talihina, OK and passed away June 14, 2022, at Oklahoma City at the age of 50 years, 7 months, and 25 days. He graduated from Atoka High School in 1989 and was a welder for Atoka Trailers. Robert was a member of Coal Creek Presbyterian Church and Choctaw Nation. He loved being with and taking care of his grandchildren, visiting family and friends, working on his truck and lawn mowing.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Heather Hicks of McLoud, OK; children, Cylena Cooper, Terence Coo-per, Bryan Cooper and wife Miranda, Robert Triston, and Sadie Cooper, all of Atoka; father, Raymond Cooper of Atoka; eleven grandchildren; sisters, Priscilla Latham and husband Berry of Coal Creek, OK, and Lorena Wolfe of Coalgate; brothers, Raymond M. Cooper, Jr. of Ada and Michael Cooper of Atoka; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lillie Mae Cooper; brother-in-law, Jeff Wolfe; and aunt, Linda Lou Nowabbi.

Casket bearers were Bryan Cooper, Terence Cooper, Triston Cooper, Joseph Baker, Randall Cooper and Terry Cooper. Honorary bearers were Berry Latham, David Cooper, Sam Cooper and Raymond Cooper. Condolences may be
