Service held for Ferlin Dale McClure

Funeral services for Ferlin Dale McClure, a Coalgate resident, were held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Paula Carney officiating. Burial was in Lone Star Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Ferlin was born January 1, 1965 to Benjamin and Mary Jane (Wilson) McClure at Talihina, OK and passed away November 21, 2021 at Coalgate at the age of 56 years, 10 months and 20 days. He graduated from Coalgate High School in 1983 and was a self-employed carpenter. Ferlin was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed fishing and listening to music, especially Motley Crue.

Survivors include siblings, Eugene McClure of Tupelo, OK, Zoanna Stockwell of Coalgate, Ruben McClure of McAlester, OK, Lisa Taylor and husband John of Booneville, AR, Dee Dee McClure of Pickett, OK and Mary Wills of Oklahoma City, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Mary Jane (Wilson) McClure.

Casketbearers were Christopher Smith, Xavier White, Adam Brink, Zachary Sloan, Nathan Thompson, Brad Taylor.
