Martha Lee (Swindell) Weakley, a Coalgate resident, passed away April 22, 2020 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 24 days. She was born September 29, 1932 to Luther and Matilda (Hill) Swindell at Coalgate, OK. Martha attended Farris, OK school and was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to church, making roses, cooking for her family and others. Martha’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Diana Steel and Randy of Coalgate, Danny Weakley of Atoka, Donald Weakley, Donna Boyes and Stan, all of Coalgate, Jackie Weakley and Charlene of Arlington, TX, Jeri Dawn Weakley and Richard Neeley of Broken Arrow, OK, and Gaylynn Ward and Jerry of Coalgate; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; brother, LC Swindell of Van Buren, AR; sister, Ruth Gibbins and Cecil of Coalgate; sister-in-law, Sue Swindell of Durant, OK; along with other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Marvin Lee Weakley, Jr.; daughter, Vicky Weakley; grandchildren, Donald Weakley II; siblings, Ellen Summers, Ellis Franklin, Juanita Stiles, Dovie Barger, and Clovis Swindell.
Visitation was Friday, 1:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Casketbearers were Brian Weakley, Vernon Lee Sevedge, Jerry Ward, Randy Steel, Jackie Weakley and Danny Weakley.
Arrangements were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.
