Service set for Donnie Ingram

Memorial service for Donnie Ingram, a Coalgate resident, will be held on July 2 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church, Stringtown. Mr. Joey Lansdale officiating. Interment will be at Mount Olive Cemetery, near Stringtown. The ceremony will be casual. In Donnie’s honor, wear overalls or your “coolest” or “funniest” t-shirt (appropriate prints please.)

Donnie was born on April 28, 1959, to Albert and Patricia Ingram in Xenia, Ohio. He passed away on Sunday June 12, 2022, at his daughter’s home in Maysville, OK, at age 63.

Donnie graduated from Coalgate HS. Donnie was a concrete construction worker. He spent his early adult years building airport runways and worked on many military bases around the country. This work also took him to several Caribbean Islands and Cuba. Donnie spent some years working his dad’s tire shop when he moved back to Coalgate, before becoming the owner/operator of his own concrete business.

Donnie was always kind at heart. He liked to make people laugh and lift their spirit. He was also a junk collector. He could see value in just about anything. Donnie loved to hunt for rocks, arrowheads, marbles, glass bottles, and buried treasure. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and the outdoors.

Survivors include his mother, Patricia Ingram, of Coalgate; daughter Mackie Ingram and grandsons Cash (13) and Von (3) of McAlester; daughter Kelsey (Ingram) Brooks, her husband Trenton, and grandchildren Amaya (19), Keagan (18), Rossen (15), Harmony (10), Allison (8), and Griffin (6) of Maysville; son Dalton Ingram and granddaughter Leah (13) of Coalgate; brother Dearl Ingram; sister Debbie Ward and husband Johnny; sister Diana Lansdale; sister Delilah Pebworth and husband Alvin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews!

Preceding him in death was his son Jeffrey Ingram, father Albert “Doc” Ingram, nephew Thomas Lansdale, brother-in-law Jerry Lansdale, and sister-in-law Mary Lynn Ingram.
