Funeral services for Crystal Lynn Batchelor, a Coalgate resident, were held Monday, December 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Tupelo Church of Christ with Wendel Ingram officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate and Brown’s Durant Funeral Cremation Service were in charge of arrangements.

An Innocent Bystander

My mom had a twin. Not identical but they were a lot alike in looks and in their ways. I always liked coming over and visiting the twin’s family, especially those many years ago when they lived here at Allen. They had two boys (among their many assorted children) about my age.

Thanksgiving Time As friends and families gather at this time of Thanksgiving, we should remember the blessings that God has bestowed on us and our nation. Sometime, between the carving of the turkey and the last football game, we should pause and truly give thanks to our Lord.
