Michael Leon Deskin, age 60, of Mt. Zion, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026. He was born on January 30, 1966, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Michael lived in Coalgate for some time and graduated from Coalgate High School.

Funeral services for Dorothy Irene (Taylor) White, a Coalgate resident, were held Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Chad Large officiating, assisted by Dallas White.

There is no service planned for Redonna Sue (Looney) Williams, recent Coalgate resident,who passed away recently. She was born March 24, 1959 at Wichita General Hospital in Wichita Falls, TX to Harold “Spud” Looney & LaWanda (Cornelison) Dewvall.

Dustin “Dusty” Keith Nichols of Lane, Oklahoma passed from this life on August 5, 2026, in Plano, Texas at the age of 56. He attended Lane Elementary School and attended and graduated from Atoka High School. Dusty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lane, Oklahoma.

A memorial service will be planned later for Norman Ray Cummins, a Stigler resident.Norman was born on August 21, 1944, to Ray Leon and Lydia Bell (Cook) Cummins, at Stuart, OK. He passed away on July 24, 2026 at Stigler, OK at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 3 days.

Funeral services for Gilbert Wayne Blue, a lifelong Coalgate, OK resident, were held Monday, August 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Coalgate Church of Christ with Wendell Ingram and Alan Harper officiating. Burial was in Lehigh Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.
