Dear Santa?How are you? How is Mrs. Claus? I hope everyone from the reindeer to the elves, is fine. I have been a very good boy this year. I would like an X-Box 360 with Call of Duty IV and an iPhone 7 for Christmas. I hope you will remember all this come Christmas morning.
I recently had a good visit with my friend Tim Schnoebelen of The Mooreland Leader. It is one of my favorite newspapers. Tim recently wrote the following and I really enjoyed it.
Most of us complain about “hard times” on a regular basis. However, the fact is the vast majority are living better than any generation in history. Those that actually went through “hard times” never complained about them.
I would like to ask a special favor of the younger generation that will be visiting their parents and grandparents this Thanksgiving. Put your phone away! They would really like to visit with you.

I had never fired a rifle before basic training and this story make me think of myself. . .It was our first day on the rifle range at Lackland air Force Base. I felt confident as I aimed and squeezed the trigger of my carbine for my first shot. “Good news and bad news,” my instructor said.
