Time is a tough thing to ponder. It is here. It passes and we wonder where it went. Celebrating my 62nd wedding anniversary this week makes we wonder where all those years went too. In my 85 th year of living it seems like just a few minutes have gone by. The Bible speaks about time.

Like so many other things, college has changed so much the past few years . . . and not for the better. Student “demands” are disgusting enough but even worse are the spineless overpaid college presidents who cave to the student grievances.

COALGATE HOME DAMAGED BY FIRE — Coalgate firefighters responded to a fire at the home of Codi Battles on Mallard Drive the afternoon of July 14. Coalgate Fire Marshal Chris Clymer stated that the fire is believed to have been accidental, originating at an electrical outlet in the living room.

This big national holiday seems to have safely passed. And the world still seems to be spinning safely on its axis. The usual pleas for people not to shoot off fireworks went mostly unheeded. At least around here in California.

Thankfulness is not in vogue anymore. In fact, I wonder what would happen if Jesus tried to feed 5000 today. If he did, here’s what some of them would probably say…. ….I can’t eat that fish.
