Summer is here, food season. Cookouts, reunions, church festivals, weddings, all celebrated with food. But this is difficult to understand what a group of researchers and scientists are doing, seriously messing with our food!

My friend, the late Charles Biggs was one of my favorite columnists. Not long before he passed away he wrote one of my favorites, which I wanted to share today… Someone sent me a copy of a letter to the editor written by Ken Huber of Tawas City, Michigan.

I recently celebrated reunion weekend and had a great time. It was a fun filled day with lots of stories. Two of my favorites shared that day… A group of 15 year old girlfriends discussed where they should meet for dinner.

Dayna and I spent the weekend attending the annual Oklahoma Press Association. It was an enjoyable and rewarding time. Dayna was one of the guest speakers on a panel of four, who shared ways newspapers can bring in alternative income, and was excellent. (I am not prejudice, either!

Over time, the words of our loved ones remain etched forever in our minds. Some people pick profound epitaphs that sum up their lives on their tombstones, while others choose humorous epitaphs to keep visitors amused.

Memorial Day a “Decoration Day” is very special to most of us ole timers. Though the holiday’s origins are not exact, it did start after the Civil War. In 1868 General John Logan sent out an official order that designated May 30 as a day of remembrance for those who died serving in the Civil War.

This month our high school class will celebrate our 58th anniversary. The following article made me think of what some of us from ’65 would write about the past 58 years. Here is a review from another school “Through the Years.
