OKLAHOMA HOUSE VOTES TO INCREASE LENGTH OF SCHOOL YEAR

Currently, Oklahoma has one of the nation’s shortest school years and some of the nation’s worst academic outcomes.House lawmakers have now voted to increase the length of the school year, hoping additional instructional time will boost student learning as well.

Tupelo man injured in motorcycle accident

Louis Stevens, 55, Tupelo, was injured in a motorcycle accident Monday morning, March 30, at 9:29 a.m.The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that Stevens was eastbound on the on ramp to SH 3 East, 0.3 miles east of County Road 3640 in Pontotoc County.
