To maintain security effectively the Board of County Commissioners has approved the purchase and installation of a metal detection security system. This purchase was not with little consideration for the public. As many know, security measures have been increased all over the United States. Oklahoma has ramped up security measures in courthouses all over the state. Coal County is one of the last to employ a security guard and now install a metal detector. The Board of County Commissioners asks for the public’s cooperation and understanding in the security transitions as we navigate these new waters and work out the “kinks” that we may come across.
