A 61-year-old man passed away July 9 after hitting a deer with his motorcycle early Sunday morning July 6 in Coal County.The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that Clinton D. Staton of Checotah, OK, was northbound on SH 31 on a 2005 Harley Davidson when he struck a deer in the roadway.
