Read moreLucas Franklin of Lehigh and his wrestling team Oklahoma Elite traveled to Council Bluffs, Iowa to represent Oklahoma in the 2025 MS Heartland National Folkstyle Duals. Oklahoma Elite went undefeated and brought home 1st place over all in the entire tournament as a team scoring a total of 581 points and only giving up 76 points total the entire tournament. Lucas Franklin also was 1 of 8 kids on his team that went undefeated the entire tournament as well and earned his first All-American Title in wrestling. This is one of the big tournaments in wrestling. Oklahoma Elite is a team made up of wrestlers from all over Oklahoma and they did an outstanding job showing up and representing our state. Lucas Franklin attends Coalgate Public Schools.

Read moreby Tim Howell Band Director The Pride of Coalgate Concert Band qualified for state band contest by earning a Superior Rating on stage and in sightreading on March 4, 2025. The band has not qualified for state band contest since 1963 which was 62 years ago. This is a huge accomplishment for the band! On April 1, 2025 the band performed at state band contest at ECU. The band had their best performance at state! We received an Excellent Rating on stage and in sightreading! These students have worked really hard all year and have made school history this year. I am very proud of each and everyone of them! This group is only going to get better and better. The future is very bright! I am excited to be the band director here and can’t wait to see what we achieve in the future!
