Jerry Don Smith was born on October 3, 1929 in Centrahoma and passed from this life in Moore, OK on June 21, 2018. June 21 was the date of his marriage in 1959. His parents were J. T. (John Thomas) Smith and Stella (Ellerd) Smith. His dad owned and operated a grocery store, J. T.

Mary Giovanna Howl, age 87, beloved mother, wife, sister and aunt, died Sunday, October 28, 2018 in her home in Edmond, OK. Born in Sherman, TX, the daughter of Italian immigrants Toni and Giovanna (Ghigo) Blua, Mary grew up and attended school in Coal-gate, OK.

Sandmann Aug. 8, 1928 - Nov. 22, 2018 OKLAHOMA CITY Charles was born in McAlester, OK on Aug. 8, 1928, to Fredrick W. and Elizabeth Sandmann, of Cottonwood, OK. He was the youngest of four children in a coal mining family.

Burial was in Stringtown Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Cherie Ann (Leaird) Farris, a lifelong Coalgate resident, were held Monday, November 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Higgen officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Nelda Marie (Renfro) Toste, a Coalgate resident, passed away November 5, 2018 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 28 days. She was born January 8, 1934 to William and Lottie Rae (Chaffin) at Kenefic, OK. Nelda attended school and graduated from Caddo High School.
