A private memorial service will be held at a later date for Shawn Micheal Edwards, age 37, an Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Thursday, November 28, 1985, to Gene Edwards and Marion Parsons, at Muskogee, OK. Shawn passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Atoka, OK.

Ms. Charlotte Baughman, age 71 passed away on August 10, 2023. Charlotte was born on November 17, 1951, in Ada, Oklahoma to William and Irene Anglin. She was preceded in death by her parents.Charlottegraduated Valedictorian from Olney High School in 1970. She married Gary Baughman in April of 1970.

Funeral services for Betty Lou (Miller) Riley, an Olney resident, were held at 2:00 Monday, August 7, 2023 at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor David Unsell officiating, assisted by Bro. Duane Riley.

Shirley Mavis Simes (nee Ray), age 86, passed away on July 19, 2023, at the Norman Regional Healthplex in Norman, Oklahoma.Shirley was born in Clarita, OK, to Cecil Ray and Ruby (Babe) RayonNovember 10, 1936.

Funeral services for Dana Gayle (Prince) Miller, a Ratliff City resident, were held Wednesday (today), August 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Tupelo with Bro. Craig Cochran officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Tupelo.

Ronnie Dean Cox, a Coalgate, OK resident, passed away July 14, 2023 at McAlester, OK at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 16 days. He was born May 28, 1956 to Bobby Von and Opal Maxine (Lea) Cox at Madera, CA and attended Central High School in Fresno, CA. Ronnie was a gunite building swimming pools.

Evan David Jones, a loving, spirited, and creative man went to be with our Lord and Savior on the morning of June 5, 2023. He passed at home in McAlester, with one of his devoted daughters, Aimee, by his side. Both she and her sister Davee, have selflessly cared for him for the past 15 months.
