Funeral services for Carl Dean Spears, a long-time Lehigh resident, will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Bro. Eddie Hogue officiating.

Anna Jean Smith Key, age 88 of Muskogee, passed away at home on February 11, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born in Centrahoma, OK on July 17, 1934 to JT and Stella Smith. The daughter of the town grocer, Anna attended elementary through high school at Centrahoma School.

Sandra “Sandy” Phillis (Cogburn) Roebuck was called home to Heaven on February 10, 2023 in Denison, Texas at the age of 70. Sandy was born February 24, 1952 in Ada, Oklahoma to Archie and Ruby (Hunter) Cogburn. She attended Tupelo High School.

Funeral services for Jess William “Pokey” Miller, age 82, a lifelong Farris, OK area resident, were held January 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Bro. Ron Marble and Brock Marble officiating.

Services for Shirley Ann Stonecipher, 82, of Centrahoma were at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Life Community Church and Rev. Mickey Keith will officiate. Burial followed at Centrahoma Cemetery. The family received friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday.Mrs.

Joy Nell Reynolds Samuels, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on January 11, 2023.Joy was born on December 18, 1939 to Nelson and Ruby Reynolds in Mexia, Texas. Joy attended Mexia High School and was considered intelligent, beautiful and successful.

Funeral services for Melva (Ward) Thomas, a Coalgate resident were held Sunday, February 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Coalgate with Bro. David Unsell officiating, assisted by D. Clay Mowdy.

A visitation was held Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Brown’s Funeral Service for Mark Roland Counterman. A Coalgate resident, Mark was born May 4, 1969 to Walter Roland and Donna Lee (Mowdy) Counterman at Easton, PA.

Aprivate family celebration will be held Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. for Shirley Marie McKendrick, a Caney resident, who was raised in Atoka County and lived in Hugo and Coalgate.
