Alter “Althear” Finley, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, passed away on Sunday May 22, 2022, in Coalgate, OK. at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 1 day. Althear was born on Thursday, June 21, 1952, to Jessie Willard and Elree (Burton) Harrison, in Atoka, OK.

Funeral services for Mary Frances (Breger) Roebuck, a Coalgate resident, were held Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Brother Eddie Hogue officiating.

Roy Price Shoemake passed away peacefully in his sleep at home and surrounded by loved ones on May 27, 2022. He was born on September 11, 1937 in Lehigh, Oklahoma and graduated from Coalgate High School in 1956. He was the patriarch of his large and loving family and will be deeply missed.

Darin Cleveland passed away May 15, 2022 at his home in Wapanucka, OK at the age of 55 years, 10 months and 4 days. He was born July 11, 1966 to Thomas Daniel and Leon Valentine (Cox) Cleveland, at Coalgate, OK.

Christa Lynn (Thompson) Layman passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at her home in Coleman, Oklahoma at the age of fi fty. Christa entered this life on November 28, 1971, in Ada, Oklahoma born to parents Charles and Frances (Haney) Thompson.

Funeral services for James Woodrow Gwinn of Moore, OK were held Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Lynlee Mae Chapel in Moore, OK with Pastor Mitchell Davidson officiating and speaker, Doc Gwinn. Final resting place was Moore Cemetery in Moore.

George A. “Butch” Pate, age 69, a Coalgate residence since 1996, passed away on May 16, 2022 at the age of 69.He was born to Johnnie Joe and Audra E. (Kirkman) Pate on February 8, 1953.

Zelda Jane Perry, age 79, a Coalgate, OK resident (Coal County), was born June 17, 1942 in Tipton, OK. Zelda passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, at her home. She was a retired Registered Nurse.

Ms. Debra June (Patterson) Crone of Konawa, OK, age 68, passed away on April 28, 2022, at Konawa. She was born to Jerry Patterson and Ruby Eileen (Frank) Townsend in McAlester, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky K. Crone, and her mother and father.
