Funeral services for Betty Lee Roark, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Atoka Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Bro. Mark Powell officiating. Burial will be in Tushka Cemetery in Tushka, OK with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Roark was born May 20, 1933 to Harry Lee and Clettie Irene (Hubble) Bryant at Stringtown, OK, the 5th of 7 children, and passed away surrounded by her loved ones April 30, 2023 at her home in Atoka at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 10 days. She graduated from LaRose Cutoff High School in Louisiana and was a seamstress for Blue Bell in Coalgate for over 19 years. Betty married Jewell Rhea Roark in October, 1957 at New Orleans, LA. They celebrated 31 years of marriage before Jewell’s passing on June 6, 1988. ShewasamemberofTushka Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, canning, watching basketball especially Golden State Warriors with her player Stephen Curry and loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Cobb and husband, Clint of Bismarck, AR and Mary Justus of Sherman, TX; grandchildren, Sarah Baldoni and husband Eric of Summerville, SC, Rebecca White and husband, Nick of Wichita Falls, TX, Brandon Willis of Greenville, TX, and Justin Justus of Emory, TX; greatgrandchildren, Jordon Baldoni, Sydni Baldoni, Alex Willis, Jaya Willis, Seth Willis, Gracelynn White and Stella White; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Clettie Irene (Hubble) Bryant;and her husband, Jewell Rhea Roark.

Casketbearers were Randy Britt, Randy Bryant, Nick White, Eric Baldoni, Brandon Willis, and Justin Justus. Honorary casketbearers were Clint Cobb and Mike Justus.
