Billie Jo (Walker) Davidson was born on May 27, 1926, in Nida, Oklahoma, to Iowa Elizabeth (Hunt) Walker and Joseph Andrew Walker. She passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, at the age of 99.

Billie Jo was the youngest of eleven children.

She attended school in Milbourn and Nida, graduating from Nida High School in May of 1946. On March 19, 1946, she married Leo Elsworth Davidson, and together they built a loving home filled with faith, family, and service to others.

Billie Jo’s hobbies included sewing, embroidery, and reading. She was especially known for her beautiful fullsize and baby quilts, which she never sold—only gifted to loved ones for weddings and baby showers. If you were fortunate enough to receive one of her quilts, you were indeed blessed. She also babysat for many working parents over the years and took special joy in caring for her “bonus grandchildren”: Laurel (Campbell) Molini, Valerie (Campbell) Johnston, Kelly Campbell, and April (Lawrence) Franklin.

She was a longtime member of the Assembly of God Church, where she taught Sunday School and shared her love for the Lord by teaching and nurturing generations of children.

Billie Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Andrew and Iowa Elizabeth Walker; her husband, Leo Davidson; her granddaughter, Jamie Burris; great-great-granddaughter, Tinzley Hall; sonin- law, Glen Little; and all of her siblings: Bonnie (Walker) Kent, Charles Walker, Beulah (Walker) Sloniger, Eulah (Walker) Halbrooks, Maudell (Walker) Watley, John Walker, Fred Walker, Ralph Walker, and James Walker.

She is survived by her children: Carol Little of Newalla, Oklahoma; Linda Woods and husband Jerry of Coalgate, Oklahoma; and Shirley Burris and husband David, also of Coalgate. Her grandchildren include Michael Davidson and wife Stephanie of Newalla, Angela Hall and husband Jason of McLoud, Cindy Franks and husband Bryan of Durant, Charla Weaver and husband Shannon of Durant, and Jeffrey Burris and wife Bridgette of Coalgate. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Kayla Mahoney and husband Arthur of Newalla, Kylie Davidson of Oklahoma City, Blake Hall and wife Jesse of Newalla, Christian Hall and wife Skylar of Mc-Loud, Nathan Hall and wife Jadyn of McLoud, Sierra Liu and husband Joseph of Durant, Cody Franks and wife Jordan of Durant, Tyler Weaver, Hailey Weaver, and Sajun Weaver, all of Durant, and Kynslee Burris, Journee Burris of Coalgate and Jaxon Davidson of Newalla.
