Carolyn Ann “Robinette” Buchanan, age 80, of Medford Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2021, at the Integris Bass Hospital in Enid, OK.

Carolyn was born on May 21, 1941, in Bellbrook, OH. She was the daughter of the late Annie Sue “Walker” Beegle and Wesley Ellsworth Beegle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Claude Ray Beegle, a sister, Jenny Sue Keeton, great grandson, Landyn Wade Graham, son-in-law, Billy Eugine Whitt, and daughter-in-law, Regina Kerns Robinette.

On May 26, 1956, Carolyn married Roy Parmer Robinette. This union blessed them with four daughters and one son: Geraldine Whitt, of West Liberty, KY, Mary (Alvin) Ashcraft of Chandler, OK, Roy Daniel Robinette of Tryon, OK, Shirley (Jerry) Biby of Wakita, OK and Ruth Ann (Kevin) Guinn of Coalgate, OK. While living in Chandler, OK, Roy’s life tragically ended in 1985.

On November 7, 1987, Carolyn married Calvin Jerry Buchanan where she was blessed with two stepsons, Roger (Cindy) Buchanan of Houston, TX, and Danny Buchanan of Medford, OK. After an extended illness, Jerry passed away in 2013.

Along with her children, she is survived by two brothers, Joel (Diana) Beegle of Kettering, OH, and Mike (Shirley) Beegle of Fairborn, OH. A host of friends, nieces, nephews, 12 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren will miss everything about her.

Carolyn loved her family more than anything. She looked forward to the big family gatherings where all of her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids could be together. They were her happy place. She also enjoyed her work with the Wheatheart Program in Medford right up until it closed in 2019.

Funeral Services were conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Medford, OK. Officiating the service were her nephew Jason Robinette, and great-nephew, Joseph Robinette of Spring Valley, OH.

Burial followed in the Rossville Cemetery in Rossville, OK. Arrangements were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Pallbearers were Jonathan Morgan, Jeremy Morgan, Kristopher Graham, Ryan Graham, Matthew Ashcraft, Mikeal Ashcraft, Damon Robinette, and Logan Graham. Honorary Pallbearers were Gigi’s great grandkids, her pride and joy
