Charles Keith James

Funeral service for Charles Keith James Jr., age 72, a Coalgate resident, was held at 10:00 a.m. May 19, 2025 at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Richard Magby officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Mr. James was born on February 22, 1953, to Charles and Lela Mae (Ayers) James, at Olney, OK.

Jr. and passed away on May 15, 2025 at Denison, TX. He graduated from Olney High School with the Class of 1971. Jr. was a rancher and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers until his retirement in 2012. He married Donna Sue Anglin on March 15, 1975 at the Coalgate Methodist Church. They spent 50 wonderful years together. Jr. enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, loved feeding and watching the cows. He mostly enjoyed his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Sue James; children, BronsonJamesandwifeValerie of Olney, and Bradi James of Shawnee; grandchildren, Abby Holden and husband, Justin of Oklahoma City, Gage McMichael of Caddo, Garrett McMichael and wife Alli of Caddo, Joley James of Durant, Delaney James, and Gavin McMichael both of Durant; great-grandchildren, Morgan McMichael of Caddo; sister, Cheryl Lawrence and husband Don of Olney; pards, Tony Soukup of Olney, Wendell Hefley of Clarita, and Randy Nelson of Olney, along with many other dearly and loved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Keith and Lela Mae (Ayers) James and sister Cathy Flint.
