Domestic abuse

complaint leads to

additional charges

A 33-year-old man was arrested and booked into the Coal County jail on September 13 for domestic abuse assault and battery, assaulting two police officers, and resisting an officer.

Deputy Ethan Fomby said the wife of Aaron David Paul Arnn came to the sheriff’s office early afternoon September 13 and reported that her husband had been assaulting her the last few weeks and that the assaults her getting worse.

Fomby said he, Deputy Austin Golden and Deputy Jeff Wortman went to the trailer park behind Hill Tavern on SH 3 to speak with Arnn. When they arrived, Arnn opened the door and asked what they wanted. Wortman asked him to come outside and talk with them, but he shut the door and told the deputies to go away.

After Arnn refused to comply with repeated commands to exit the trailer, the deputies pulled the door open, at which time Arnn began resisting arrest and was OC sprayed. He struck Golden and Wortman and was placed in hand restraints by Fomby.

After being checked out by EMS medics due to the OC spray, he was transported to the Coal County jail.

During Arnn’s initial court appearance on September 17 without an attorney, the Court entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf to all charges and set bond at $5,000. The case is set on the September 28 docket.

Arnn’s address was changed from Pauls Valley, OK to Choctaw, OK on the Initial Appearance Order.
