Dorothy Aline Laney

Funeral services for Dorothy Aline (King) Laney, an Atoka resident, were held Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Bro. Billy Wilson officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coal-gate was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Laney was born February 15, 1941 to Allen and Dorothy Lucille (Crow) King at Hereford, TX and passed away November 1, 2019 at Sherman, TX at the age of 78 years, 8 months and 18 days. She attended Buckner Orphanage and graduate the 12th grade. Dorothy married Lloyd Laney April 10, 1962 and was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, crafting (dreamcatchers) and sewing, but her greatest love was spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Beasley, and Dorothy Laney and husband James; son, Allen Laney; grandchildren, Lisa Camp and husband Cedric, Stephenie Laney and husband Josh, Daniel Stingley, Carl Smith II and wife Toni, Cody Stacy, Nichole Sijer, Amanda Stiles and husband Jason, Summer Stacy, Brittany Murphy and husband Phillip, Jacob Beasley, Danny Kesley, Shyanna Laney, Shane Adams, Xavier and Victoria; step-daughter, Jackie Day and husband Tim; seventeen great-grandchildren; along with many dear and loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Laney, and sons, Charles Stacy and Johnny Stacy.
