Eual Franklin Mills passes away

Eual Franklin Mills was born on July 9, 1928 at Commerce, Texas to Asa and Carrie Ester ((Smith)) Mills and passed from this earth into his Heavenly Father’s arms on August 13, 2021 at his home in Cottonwood, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years, 1 month, 4 days.

Mr. Mills attended school at Limestone Gap, OK and graduated high school from Kiowa, OK. He then attended Rose State College at Oklahoma City, OK. Eual retired from the Cottonwood General Store, which he and his wife Irene owned, working side by side. He was an active member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church and loved to watch the television show “Gunsmoke” among other western shows. Mr. Mills also loved to play dominoes and sit with his beloved lap dog, Oddie. He served as a Private in The United States Army and The Army National Guard of Oklahoma until he was ordered into active duty and gained the status of a Corporal in the regular Army for almost three years. Eual was married to his loving wife until her passing on September 18, 2019.

He is survived by his daughter, Robbie Sue Nail of Cottonwood, OK and her son Joshua Levi Nail of McAlester, OK; granddaughters, Destiny Laree Mills Pack and husband James and Aimee Genee Mills all of Tulsa, OK, Lacy Stiles of Durant, OK, Molly Stiles of Melissa, TX and Kellie Stiles of Las Vegas, NV; grandson, Sonny Stiles and his wife Amanda of Beaverton, OR; great-granddaughters, Jayden Marie Sue Pack and Raelynn Nicole Irene Pack of Tulsa, OK; daughter-in-law, Sheila Mills of Tushka, OK; adopted grandchildren, Rob Penney, Ian Penney, Will Penney, Brooke Penney, Rosa Penney, and Faith Penney all of Coalgate, OK; adopted children, Wesley Sam and Perry Williams both of Coalgate, OK; and many other loved ones who will greatly miss him.

Mr. Eual Mills is preceded in death by his parents, Asa and Carrie Ester (Smith) Mills; his beloved wife, Florence Irene (Sallee) Mills and his son, Larry Franklin Mills.
