Funeral services for Geraldine (Davenport) Davis, a Clarita resident, will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Bro. Lyle Shipley officiating. Burial will be in Moore Cemetery in Clarita with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Davis was born September 25, 1927 to Ezra and Bertie (Manis) Davenport in Coalgate, OK and entered into eternal rest, with her family by her side, on July 15, 2023 at Coalgate at the age of 95 years, 9 months and 20 days. She graduated from Olney High School and married Lloyd Pierce Davis on August 17, 1946 at Coalgate. Geraldine was a loving homemaker and storeowner and a faithful member of the Clarita Methodist Church. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and her yard, playing Wahoo and dominoes. Her favorite times were spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Larry and wife Traci of Tishomingo, Vicki Hughes of Durant and Ronnie and wife Brenda of Clarita; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Cain, Paula Meek, Kevin Hitchcock, Amie Davis, Trevor Davis, Tanner Davis and Kelsey Davis; fifteen great-grandchildren, Trent, Lauren, Cody, Kasey, Emmy, Joshua, Jonathan, Katelyn, Kaylee, Keven, Shauntel, Kennan, Charleston, Boston and Taytum; and eight great-greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Bertie Davenport; brothers, J. E. Davenport and Lloyd Davenport; sister, Hazel Glasco and husband of 48 years, Pierce Davis. Casketbearers will be Trevor Davis, Tanner Davis, Cody Meek, Trent Cain, Joshua Hitchcock, and Jonathan Hitchcock. Serving as honorary bearers will be Ray Nelson, Howard Nelson, Roy Campbell, Eddie Paul Campbell, Wendel Hefley and Frank Williams.
