Funeral services for Helen Christine (Gwinn) Latham, a Centrahoma resident, were held Monday, November 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Cottonwood Baptist Church with pastor Eddie Hogue officiating, assisted by Bro. Delbert Jenkins. Burial was in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Helen was born December 9, 1976 to Buddy Dean and Brenda Kaye (Stanley) Gwinn at Ada, OK and passed away November 18, 2022 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 45 years, 11 months and 9 days, She attended Cottonwood School and graduated from Coalgate High School with the class of 1995 and attended college at East Central University. Helen married Gordon Mitchell Latham on December 23, 2000 at Cottonwood Baptist Church. They were blessed with 21 wonderful years together. Helen was a paraprofessional at Cottonwood School, was a Christian and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, going to the beach and camping with her family. She enjoyed going to many livestock shows with her children Her favorite times were spent with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Gordon Mitchell Latham of the home in Centrahoma; children, Brooklyn Neal of Stringtown, OK, Garrett Latham, Jasmine Latham, Gunner Latham, Hope Latham and Faith Latham all of Centrahoma, OK; her parents, Buddy Dean and Brenda Kaye (Stanley) Gwinn of Coalgate; mother-in-law, Lola Hansell of Centrahoma; father-inlaw, Harold Latham Sr. of Lehigh, OK; sisters, Terie Sam and husband Wes and Melissa Williams and husband Tim, all of Coalgate; sister-in-law, Tina Horn and husband Tim of Lehigh; brother-in-law, Harold Latham, Jr. of Coalgate; grandfather, Sisroe Gwinn of Coalgate; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many dearly loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mavis Gwinn; maternal grandparents, Eugene and Althea Stanley and Maudie Mae Campbell and father-inlaw, Ronnie Hansell.

Casketbearers were Scott Brown, Justin Brown, Jesse Pebworth, Jason Pebworth, Jonathan Pebworth, Nathan Hogue and Tristen Hogue. Honorary bearers were Tim Williams, Wes Sam, Donald Compton, Michael Burns, Joseph Krebs, and Robert Beck.
