Graveside services for John Sidney Doyle, a lifelong Kiowa, OK resident, were held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Pittsburg, OK with Bro. Jim Ray officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Doyle was born July 26, 1938 to Sidney Othel and Cora Mae (Mills) Doyle at Kiowa, OK and passed away May 12, 2021 at Kiowa, OK at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 16 days. He graduated high school and married Parthenia (Wilkins) July 25, 1961 at McAlester, OK. They celebrated almost 60 years of marriage before his passing. John retired from the Roads and Grounds Department at the Army Ammunition Plant in McAlester after 30 years of service. He was a member of Kiowa United Methodist Church. John was an outdoors man, enjoyed horses, goats, every animal under the sun and loved being with his family.

Survivors include his wife Parthenia Doyle of the home in Kiowa; daughter, Jonna Zachary and husband Duke of Kiowa; sons, Trent Doyle and wife Debbie, and Jeremy Doyle, all of Kiowa; bonus son, Dalton Turney and wife Kendra and daughter Niki of Brewer, OK; grandchildren, Johnathan Rudrow and wife Kayla, Clay Doyle, Callie Doyle, Tyler Lambert and Zane Zachary, all of Kiowa; great-grandchildren, Roper Jay Sidney Rudrow; sister, Helen Jan Huie of Washington State; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Sidney and Cora Mae (Mills) Doyle; sisters, Mary L. Wilkins, Elizabeth A. Mangrum, and Emma J. Dobbs; and in-laws, Royce and Inez Wilkins.

Casketbearers were Trent Doyle, Jeremy Doyle, Duke Zachary, Clay Doyle, Johnathan Rudrow, Zane Zachary, Tyler Lambert, and Dalton Turney. Honorary bearers were Bud Little, Randall Lefevers, Jeffie Ely, Bill Corley, Raymond Darrell, Leon Labor, James Skelly, Jake Scallorn, Lance Hess and Jason Linscott.
