Kathy Jean Battles

Funeral services for Kathy Jean Battles, a Coalgate resident, will be Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Bro.

Richard Magby officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel. Burial will be in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’ Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Kathy was born March 25, 1950 to Wofford James and Helen Marie (Hancock) Battles at Coalgate, OK and passed away October 29, 2022 at Coalgate at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 4 days. She graduated from Coalgate High School class of 1968. Kathy was a rancher and a full time “Nano”. She was of the Baptist faith and loved spending time with her grand-babies and her horses.

Survivors include sons, Larry Hobgood and wife Tammy of Coalgate, and Brian Pebworth and wife Lori of MO; grandchildren, Chaci Bowker and husband Josh of Coalgate, Padyn Stanley of Colbert, OK and Michael Juristy of Coalgate; greatgrandchildren, Jentry Bowker, Tagen Juristy, both of Coalgate, Dally Stanley, Sutton Stanley, both of Colbert; fiance’ Doug Ward of Coalgate; sisters, Tammy Hedgecock and husband Lanny of Coalgate, Karen Foster and husband Jack of Farmington, NM, Stacy Farrow and husband Damon of Tulsa, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dearly loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wofford James and Helen Marie (Hancock) Battles; and sister, Judy Battles.
