Leonard Ray Quaid was born November 3, 1951, to James “Jack” Glenn Sr. and Christine (Bailey) Quaid, at Coalgate, OK. Leonard passed away on May 11, 2024 at the age of 72 years 6 months and 8 days at his home in Wynnewood, OK.

Leonard began attending school in Ashland then went to Kiowa High School and graduated there in 1970.

Leonard was a plumber for the State of Oklahoma for 32 years.

He served in the 45th Infantry Arm National Guard as a sergeant from May 16, 1970 to May 15, 1976.

Leonard was married to Valla Kay (Hurley) Wells. He was of the Baptist faith, Leonard was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed dancing, playing shuffleboard, Poker and Texas Hold’Em.

Leonard is survived by his wife: Kay Wells of thehomeinWynnewood, OK. Grandson, Baylor Summers of the home in Wynnewood, OK. Son-in-law, Jeff Summers of the home in Wynnewood, OK. Daughter, Sherry Harris and husband Chris of Wynnewood, OK., Son, Angus Quaid of Yukon, OK., and sister, Patty Quaid Valdez and husband Tommy of McAlester, OK.

Mr. Quaid was proceeded in death by his parents: James “Jack” Glenn and Christine (Bailey) Quaid, daughter, Lisa Summers and brothers, Glenn Quaid and Richard Quaid.

Services for Mr Quaid will be Wednesday, May 15, 204 at Wardville Cemetery, Wardville, OK. At 10:00 pm. Brother Brent Davis will be officiating.

Casketbearerers will be Jeff Summers, Chris Harris, Jeff Newberry, Doyle Blankenship Johnny Blankenship, and D..J. Blankenship.

Honorary Casketbearers: Kyle Quaid, Keith Quaid, Kevin Quaid, Travis Cosgrove, and Tommy Valdez.
