Lynda Jo King

Services for Lynda Jo King, an Atoka, OK resident will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Farris Community Center in Farris, OK with Mike Stephenson officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. King was born September 8, 1965 to Raymond Delmer and Thelma Carline (Moore) Hatfield at Dallas, TX and passed away June 14, 2025 at Paris, TX at the age of 59 years, 9 months and 6 days. She attended Grapevine Public Schools then transferred to Ardmore High School where she graduated with the Class of ‘85. Lynda owned and operated Trinity Dog Grooming. She married Roger McCarl King May 10, 2006 at Atoka. They celebrated 19 years of marriage together in May. Lynda was a christian who held strong in her faith and her love for God. She was proud to be a third generation dog groomer. She loved her shop and all her clients. Lynda believed in the ministry and allowing the word of God to work through her and what she believed to be “God’s Shop”. She would help any animal or person she could that came along her path. Lynda really loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandkids. In her downtime she enjoyed riding horses, fishing, and hunting with her husband, Roger, cooking for and eating with her family and going to concerts.

Survivors include her husband, Roger McCarl King of the home in Atoka; daughter, Samantha Jo Stiles and husband Brandon of Atoka; step-daughters, Jessica Woods and husband Logan of Clarita, OK and Kara Burris of Coalgate; stepson, Seth Tidwell and wife Beth of Lane; granddaughter, Sage Josephine Stiles of Atoka; grandsons, Ezra Cid Stiles and Luke Ray Stiles both of Atoka; nine bonus grandchildren; stepsisters, Lori Godwin of Daytona Breach, FL and Michelle Godwin of San Francisco, CA; numerous fur babies she cherished and loved dearly; along with cousins, extended family and many friends she considered family.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Raymond Delmer Hatfield and Thelma (Moore) Newland; brother, Paul Hatfield; sister. Sheila Hatfield; step-mom, Dottie Hatfield; and step-dad, Joe Newland.
