Magdalene “Maggie” Kiedaisch

Funeral services for Magdalene “Maggie” Sarah Kiedaisch, a lifelong Wardville, OK resident, were held Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Bro. Richard Magby officiating. Burial was in Ward-ville Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kiedaisch was born October 31, 1923, outside of Wardville, the fifth child to Mack and Minnie (Shipman) Thompson at Wardville, OK and passed away December 26, 2019 at McAlester, OK at the age of 96 years, 1 month and 26 days. She attended Limestone Gap High School where she was a member of the women’s basketball team. Maggie married Alvin Kiedaisch and they were married 40 years before his passing. Maggie was a housewife and rancher primarily. She was also co-owner of Al’s Atoka Jewelry Store in Atoka, Assistant Post Mistress of Wardville Post Office, secretary-treasurer of Wardville Baptist Church and unofficial coordinator of Wardville Community and Church activities.

Maggie will be remembered as a talented woman, capable of fixing fence, rounding up cattle, upholstering furniture, painting a picture and keeping the peace in family communications. She was a doting grandmother and great-grandmother, loyal and loving wife, mother and sibling, who demonstrated her love for her community, church and God in her everyday actions. Her final word to us all would be, “My love for you is eternal and unconditional.”
