Our sympathy is extended to the family of Julia Nell Tomlinson

Funeral services for Julia Nell (Weller) Tomlinson, a Claremore resident, were held Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Daniel Ramsey officiating. Burial was in Byrd’s Prairie Cemetery in Tupelo, OK with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Tomlinson was born March 17, 1945 to Deborn Ervin and Opal Evelyn (Morrison) Weller at Olney, OK and passed away February 20, 2023 at Claremore, OK at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 3 days. She graduated from Stonewall Public Schools and was a cafeteria supervisor at Claremore Public Schools. Nell married Donald Lee Tomlinson April 20, 1960 at Madill, OK. They enjoyed 62 wonderful years together. Julia Nell was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed crafting. Her favorite times were spent chasing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending time with all her family.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Lee Tomlinson of the home in Claremore; daughter, Tammi Stephens and husband Harold of Atoka, OK; son, Michael Tomlinson of Claremore, OK; grandchildren, Dakota Tomlinson and wife Courtney of Ponca City, OK, Timber

Meadows and husband Trask of Atoka, OK, Tyler Tomlinson and wife Tonya of Drumright, OK and Ridge Stephens of Atoka, OK; five great-grandchildren, Blayden, Tehgan, and Preston Tomlinson and Lucy and Oaklee Meadows; sisters, Jerl Dean Romines and husband D. E., Dessa Fortner and husband Paul, Regina Flowers and husband Johnny, all of Tupelo, OK; brothers, Don Weller and wife Joy Nell of Tupelo and Wendell Weller of Cleveland, OK; sister-inlaw, Lawana Dansby and husband Ronald of Latta, OK; brother-in-law, Wayne Tomlinson and wife Linda of Coalgate, OK; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Deborn Ervin and Opal Evelyn (Morrison) Weller; in-laws, Ulyesess and Alyene Tomlinson; brother, Joe Weller; sister, Osie Stephens; brothersin- law, Bill Stephens and Glenn Mowdy; sisters-inlaw, Phyllis Weller, Jan Weller and Ulene Mowdy.

Casketbearers were Dakota Tomlinson, Tyler Tomlinson, Ridge Stephens, Trask Meadows, Traelon Yarbrough, and Richard Moon.
