Our sympathy is extended to the family of Richard Blalock

Richard James Blalock, a Coalgate resident, was born on March 18, 1967, to S.L. and Donna June (Veach) Blalock, at Ardmore, Oklahoma. He passed away on September 4, 2025, at his home in Coalgate, Oklahoma, at the age of 58 years, 5 months and 17 days. Mr. Blalock’s services were held Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Brown’s Funeral Chapel, Coalgate, OK, with Pastor Mike Russell officiating. Interment was at Pine Cemetery.

Richard graduated from Mill Creek High School with the Class of 1985. He worked as a water transfer consultant in the oilfield for 20 years and was also a rancher. Richard married Christian LeAnne Sells on July 18, 1998, at Pine, Oklahoma. They celebrated 27 years together. Richard was known as the Mayor of Pine. He enjoyed riding and training horses and gathering cattle. Richard also enjoyed spending time with his pride and joy granddaughter, Elsie LeAnn Lloyd.

Survivors include his wife, Christy Blalock of the home in Coalgate OK; daughters, Sierra Blalock of Spencer, OK, Talon Blalock of Lordsburg, NM; McKenzie Lloyd and husband Chris of Pine, OK; 8 Grandchildren; siblings, Sandra Hector and husband Neal of Purcell, OK, Brenda Stover and husband Bart of Sulphur, OK, David Blalock and wife Bridget of Davis, OK, Sherry Prewitt of Mill Creek, OK, Terry Blalock and wife Belinda of Sulphur, OK, Brian Blalock and wife April of Sulphur, OK, Father and mother-inlaw: Frank and Mary Sells of Coalgate, OK, Sister-In-Law: Sharon Sells of Pine, OK, brother-inlaw: Shane Eckert and wife Ashley of Blanchard, OK, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in by his parents, S.L. and Donna June (Veach) Blalock, grandchildren, Christian Blalock and Vanessa Blalock, and nephew, Matt Blalock. Pallbearers were Todd Curry, Todd Brown, Ryon Langrehr, Gary McDonald, Joel Coffee, Craig Hamilton. honorary pallbrearers, Bob Cody, Phillip Cody, Steve Cody, Shelly Turpin, Rick Guinn, Tracey Adam, Frank Sells.
