Services for Richard Paul Jarrett, a Phillips resident, will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.a at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Bro. Eddie Hogue officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jarrett was born May 23, 1958 to Sherman Lquee Jarrett and Jacequetta Ann (Lamb) Acosta at Winchester, IN and passed away January 23, 2023 at Phillips, OK at the age of 64 years and 8 months. He graduated from Putnam City High School in Oklahoma City, OK and served in the U. S. Marines. Richard was a cook at the Brandin’ Iron Cafe. He was of the Baptist faith and liked to fish as a young man. Richard loved family gatherings.

Survivors include a daughter Christina Williams of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Stormee-Ice Delung and Marlee Williams; great-grandchildren, Edward James “EJ” Pelts and Kaylynn Anne “Kay-Kay” Pelts; sisters, Sharon Clapp of Indiana and Robin Jarrett of Phillips, OK; brother, Wallace “Corky” Acosta of Tupelo,OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman Lquee Jarrett and Jacequetta Ann (Lamb) Acosta; sisters, Joetta Guy and Janice Dority; and brothers, David Cagle and Victor Acosta.
