Memorial services for Robert Stephen “Steve” McEntire of Mansfield, Arkansas were held Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Lyle Shipley officiating. Interment was in Wardville Cemetery in Wardville, OK with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Steve was born November 1, 1938 in Wardville to Bob and Nellie McEntire. He passed from this life on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

Steve was an Army veteran and retiree from International Paper Company as a forester. He was also past President of the Arkansas Forestry Association and an avid gardener. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, traveling, camping and was of the Baptist Faith.

Preceding him in death was his brother, Jim McEntire; sister-in-law, Libby McEntire; and parents, Bob and Nellie McEntire.

Steve is survived by his wife of 56 years, Vicki McEntire of the home; son, Jeff McEntire (CyciliaThomas) of Fort Smith, Arkansas; brother, John McEntire of Shreveport, Louisiana; brotherin- law, Mike Baumert of Coalgate, Oklahoma; sistersin- law, Karen Marks of Tishomingo, Oklahoma and Cleo McEntire of Wardville, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wardville or Cairo Cemetery Association.
