Russell Holcomb

Services for Russell Holcomb , an Atoka resident, will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Meadows Cemetery Pavilion in Atoka with Lee Wayne Seabourn officiating.

Russell was a 1992 graduate of Tushka High School. He attended Ardmore Truck Driving School where he obtained his CDL, which started his career in truck driving until he became disabled.

Russell enjoyed fishing any chance he could get and would tell you a whopper about missing a big one!

Russell was a great cook! You could find him getting down on the grill, cooking on the stovetop or baking a pie. He helped his brother Jr. tend their small farm and yearly garden, which produced beautiful vegetables.

Russell loved the Lord. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at a very early age. He would study the Bible with his brother, Jr. If he heard anything questionable about religion he would go to the Bible for reference. Whenever possible, he enjoyed going to church and learning more about the Lord. Some of Russell’s hobbies included listening to music, driving a dirt road, attending concerts and mingling with friends. His friends could tell you he had a caring and great personality that will be sorely missed.

Survivors include his son, Cooper Matthew Holcomb of Iowa; a brother, Jr. Holcomb of Atoka; special friend, Kimberly Pickens-Cole of Coalgate along with other family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Holcomb, Sr. and mother Wanda (Bray) Holcomb.
