Funeral services for Ryder Blayne Chaffin, age 13, anAtoka County, OK resident, were held Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at armony Public School with Rev. Jeff Culbreath officiating. Burial was in Callicoat Family Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Ryderwasborn on Thursday, October 7, 2010, to Casey Don Chaffin and Nissa Jae Seabourn at Durant, OK and passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at ACMC in Atoka, OK. Ryder attended Coalgate Public School in kindergarten and became a Harmony Bulldog in 1st grade and has proudly been a Bulldog every since. He was in the 7th grade. Ryder was a proud member of Bentley Baptist Church where he was baptized September 25, 2022. His passion for music was evident through his involvement in the honor band and choir. On the basketball court and baseball field, he displayed determination, leaving a mark on his teammates and coaches. Beyond his talents and interests, Ryder was an avid reader, constantly expanding his horizons, and he found solace in the world of art. His memory will forever resonate in our hearts, a testament to a life beautifully lived, filled with love for God, music, family, and the joys of creativity.

Ryder is survived by his parents, Nissa Jae Seabourn and Dakota Callicoat of the home in Bentley, OK; siblings, Brylon Jax Chaffin, Levi Callicoat,, Kyler Callicoat all of the home in Bentley, OK, and John Chaffin of Atoka, OK; maternal grandparents, Tonja Roberts and husband Jeremy, Lee Wayne and Christina Seabourn all of Atoka, OK; paternal grandparents, Kimberly and Kirk Thompson, Shawn Callicoat, Johnny Chaffin all of Atoka, OK; maternal great grandparents, Taresa and Allen Andrews of Atoka, OK, Terrell and Shannon Snow of Crystal, OK, Wanda Alexander of Atoka, OK; paternal great grandparents, Billy Guy and Geane Kellogg of Daisy, OK, Terry Don and Barbara Callicoat of Atoka, OK; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Ryder was preceded in death by his cousin, Flint Matthew Dale Smith; and paternal grandmother, Merri Ly “Cissye” Chaffin.
