Sandra “Sandy” Phillis (Cogburn) Roebuck was called home to Heaven on February 10, 2023 in Denison, Texas at the age of 70. Sandy was born February 24, 1952 in Ada, Oklahoma to Archie and Ruby (Hunter) Cogburn. She attended Tupelo High School.

On January 12, 1971, she married the love of her life, Billy James Roebuck in Coalgate, Oklahoma. Together they built a home full of love and raised four children in Tupelo, Oklahoma.

Sandy filled different positions before finding that her true calling was nursing. She attended LPN School in Byng, Oklahoma and graduated in 1978.

Sandy had many enjoyments in life such as sewing, painting ceramics, gardening, planting flowers, watching hummingbirds and traveling. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She loved her family unconditionally.

Sandy was a member of the Centrahoma Baptist Church where she took pleasure in singing gospel hymns, teaching Sunday School classes and working with the Messengers of Christ. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Sandy was beautiful inside and out and had a smile and laughter that could brighten the darkest of days. She was loved deeply and will be missed tremendously.

She is survived by her husband, Billy James Roebuck of the home; children, Archie Roebuck of Tupelo, OK, Billy Joe Roebuck of Tupelo, OK, Rebecca Davis and husband Steven of Calera, OK, Anthony Roebuck and wife Laura of Tupelo, OK, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Kimberly Cogburn and great-grandchildren, Myah Roebuck and Harvey Cressman. Service will be held today (Wednesday) February 15, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel of Coalgate, OK with Brother Lonnie Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Centrahoma Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Louis Stevens, Kevin Postoak, Timmie Owens, John D’Aguanno, Chris Stinnett, Josh Reed. Honorary Casetbearers will be Nicholas Roebuck, Brandon Roebuck, Joseph Roebuck, Timmie James Owens, Matthew Davis, Anthony Davis and Kolton Johnston.

Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, Coalgate, OK.
