Service Friday for Michael Gene Lee

Funeral services for Michael Gene Lee, a Tupelo resident, will be Friday, October 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Lauren Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements. Family night will be Thursday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Lee was born on March 28, 1961, to Bobby Gene and Wanda Jane (Ward) Lee, at De n t o n , TX and passed away on September 27, 2025 at Tupelo, OK at age 64 years, 5 months and 30 days. He graduated from Stonewall High School. Michael was a ranch hand. He married Connie Lynnette O’Kelley on September 21, 2011 at Hot Springs, Arkansas. Michael was of the Baptist faith. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed motorcycles (Harleys) and arrowhead hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Lynnette (O’Kelley) Lee; son, Christopher Lee and wife Jessica of Rogers, AR; daughter, Lauren Thomp son and husband Chad Becker of Wellston, OK; nephews, Ramey Reamey and wife Holly of Coalgate, William Watts and wife Jamie of Midwest City, OK; uncle, Charles Roberts and wife Evon of Ada; grandchildren, Jagger Lee, River Lee, Ashlyn Garrett, Brayden Baldwin and Brooklyn Baldwin; and bestie, Jerry George.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Gene and Wanda Jane (Ward) Lee; sister, Renee Watts; and nephew, Stevie (Boy) Watts.

Casketbearers will be Ramey Reamey, Jake Furr, Clayton Leflore, Sonny Wolfenbarger, John Leflore, and Seth Leland. Serving as honorary bearers will be Jerry George, David Fowler, Chris Murrey, Randy Brewer, Roger Anderson. Mike Sanders, Vernon Sweat, David Hunter, and Rusty Hopper.
