Service Friday for Patrick Glenn Ray

Funeral services for Patrick Glenn Ray, a McAlester resident, will be Friday, November 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate. Interment will be in Moore Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements. Family night will be Thursday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Ray was born January 14,1965 to Charles Edward and Bessie Sue (Horton) Ray at Atoka, OK and passed away November 10, 2022 at Broken Arrow, OK at the age of 57 years, 9 months and 27 days. He graduated from Olney High School then attended Murray State College where he received an Associate’s Degree. Glenn married Shelly Lynn Ray on February 10, 1991 at McAlester. They enjoyed 30 years together before her passing on June 25, 2021. Glenn was a buyer at Fiber Pad Manufacturing Company. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed dancing and loved going to Thunder basketball games. He went to many dog shows where he took his Golden Retrievers. Glens loved spending time with his dog and best friend, Teddy.

Survivors include his children, Garrett Miller and wife, Cody of Tulsa, OK, Megan Kirkes and husband, Pepe of McAlester and Summer Sharp and husband Tyler of Coalgate; grandchildren, Marshall Miller, Thomas Miller and Preston Leroy Kirkes; siblings, Robert Ray of Atoka, Betty Sue Ray, Jannette Orr and husband Ronald, all of Coalgate, and Faye Skalicky and husband Ron of Owatonna, MN; fiance’, Terri Pennington of Coweta, OK; best friend, his dog Teddy; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dearly loved friends.

Casketbearers will be Mike Thompson, Garrett Miller, Ronald Orr, Robert Ray, Tyler Sharp and Pepe Kirkes. Honorary bearers will be his classmates: Bruce Carter, Eddie Hampton, Kenneth Winningham, Walter Roebuck, Lori (Lawrence) Warren, Marsha Cole, Vonda Cole and Mike Nelson.
