Service held for Adrian Uriah Horton

Funeral services for Adrian Uriah Horton, an Allen resident, were held Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Bro. Glen Russel officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Horton was born July 31, 1954 to Ura Manuel and Helen Viola (Reed) Horton at Landstuhl, Germany and passed away September 11, 2019 at Allen, OK at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 11 days. He was a pipeliner and proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving in Desert Storm. Adrain retired from the Army in 1991. He married Kathleen Ann Hartnett on February 14, 2014 in Allen, OK. Adrian was a member of the Chickasaw Warriors Society. He enjoyed painting, drawing and carpentry.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Ann (Hartnett) Horton of Allen, OK; son, Adrian M. Horton of Crescent, OK; stepchildren, Marc Witman Jr. of Union Valley, OK, Stacey Witman of Fort Worth, TX, and Robert Witman and wife Teresa of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Benjamin Michael Horton, Hannah Jo Horton, Jackson Uriah Horton, Riley Autum (Horton) Hensley, Kimberly Michelle Witman, Elizabeth Marie Witman, Riley Daniel Witman, Ryan Michael Visek; brother, Durwin Manuel Horton and wife Leveta of Sulphur, OK; sister, Vicky Janet (Horton) Standridge and husband Jim of Pauls Valley, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dearly loved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Branden Horton; sisters, Cynthia Horton-Lancaster and Alecia Horton; and mentor John Wayne.

Casketbearers were Adrian M. Horton, Marc Witman, Jr., Robert Witman, Brandon Visek, Randy Lovell, Leslie Crowell and Joe Standridge.
