Service held for Glenn Lain

Funeral services for Glenn Franklin Lain, a lifetime Atoka, OK resident, were held Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Bro. Vick Cook officiating. Burial was in Tushka Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lain was born February 24, 1936 to Theodore T. and Winnie Lou (Williams) Lain at Atoka and passed away May 11, 2019 at Durant, OK at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 17 days. He attended grade school at Star and graduated from Tushka High School. Glenn married Pauline Lain and she preceded him in death in 2017 in California. Glenn proudly served his country in the U. S. Army and was a truck driver for the Navy Ammunition Plant and for Atoka County. He was an avid hunter, fisher and trapper.

Survivors include a sister, Patsy Rose of Atoka; nieces, Gloria Eddings, Deborah Stewart, Karon Clark and husband Bob, Judith Taylor, Heather Minor, and Randi Minor all of Atoka; nephews, Josh Minor and Jeremiah Minor, both of Atoka; stepson, Tommy Willeby of Centrahoma; stepdaughter, Joyce Willeby of Centrahoma and Tauni Nichols of Texas; special grandson, Shannon Speers of Oklahoma City; along with cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by her parents; wife; brother, Ted Lain; nephew, David Taylor and stepson Ray Speers.

Casketbearers were Josh Minor, Luke Williams, Lige Williams and Gavin Abants.
