Service held for Inez Hogue

Funeral services for Inez Wanda (Wilson) Hogue, a Coalgate resident, were held Monday, September 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Rev. Jackie Lewis officiating. Burial was in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hogue was born June 12, 1932 to Harley and Claire (Howerton) Wilson at Parker, OK and passed away September 9, 2020 at Coalgate at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 28 days. She attended Cottonwood Elementary School and graduated from Coalgate High School in 1950. Inez

married Walter Lee Hogue on September 15, 1951 in Coalgate, OK. They enjoyed 68 wonderful years of marriage. Inez worked as a clerk at Smith’s Grocery and a sewing machine operator at Blue Bell. She worked as Deputy Coal County Clerk and retired after serving 27 years. Inez was a member and secretary/treasurer for Cottonwood Baptist Church. She was initiated into the Eastern Star on March 12, 1970 and was installed as Worthy Matron in 1975. Inez held various offices within the Chapter for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, singing hymns and spending time with all her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Lee Hogue of the home in Coalgate; son, Edward Hogue and wife Dianne of Coalgate; grandsons, Dustin Hogue and wife Valarie of Seminole, OK and Jonathan Hogue and wife Jerri of Coalgate; great-grandchildren, Haven Hogue, Jay Hogue, Christian Hogue, Stevie Hogue and Carter Hogue; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nadine Hines; and

Casketbearers were Tony Gibby, Johnny D. Ward, Charles Canida, Allen Casey, Harry Farris, Jr. and John Odell Linton. Honorary bearers were Larry Bart Pope, Ruben Burge, Carl McEntire and Bob Trail.
