Service held for Janie May Loftin

Funeral services for Janie May (Cole) Loftin, a longtime Lane, OK resident were held Monday, December 17, 2018 at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Bro. Bartt Bradford officiating. Burial was in Stringtown Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Loftin was born June 21, 1953 to Albert Edger and Christine May (Bayles) Cole at Lindsey, OK and passed away December 13, 2018 at Oklahoma City at the age of 65 years, 5 months and 22 days. She attended Atoka and Maysville High School and married Paul Loftin at Lane, OK. Janie was a homemaker and housewife and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed fishing, especially cat fishing, playing dominoes and spending time with the grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Loftin of the home in Lane, OK; daughters, Christina Brown and husband Stefan of Atoka, Tonya Loftin and Scotty Smith of Lane; daughter-in-law, Tracy Loftin of Atoka; sister Ailte Clark of Calera; brothers, Albert Cole and wife Kit of Atoka and Charles Cole and wife Brenda of Coalgate; grandchildren, Preston Brown and wife Kyla of Princeton, TX, Orlando Brown of OKC, Tyler Loftin, Tanisha Loftin, both of Lane, Riley Loftin, Mallory Loftin and Trenton Loftin, all of Atoka; seven great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Loftin and grandson, Eric Brown.

Casketbearers were Steven Cole, Jimmy Cole, Christopher Cole, Jacob Cole, Robert Cole and BJ Clark. Honorary bearers were grandsons: Eric Brown, Preston Brown, Orlando Brown, Tyler Loftin, Riley Loftin, and Trenton Loftin.
