Service held for Jerry Lee Lansdale

Funeral services for Jerry Lee Lansdale, a longtime Stringtown, OK resident, were held Monday, August 24, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Stringtown First Baptist Church with Bro. Lloyd Thompson and Bro. Joey Lansdale officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Stringtown, OK with Brown’s Funeral service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lansdale was born January 25, 1956 to Jackie D. and Glenda Ruth (Moore) Lansdale at Jacksonville, NC and passed away August 19, 2020 at his home in Stringtown, OK at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 25 days.

Jerry attended General Shafter Elementary in Bakersfield, CA and graduated from Stringtown High School in 1974. He worked in concrete construction.

He married Dianna (Ingram) on November 9, 1989 at DeQueen, AR. They celebrated 30 years of marriage before his passing. Jerry was a member of Stringtown First Baptist Church and Stringtown Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, outdoors, cooking, working in the oilfield, was the best concrete man in five counties, best friend, mentor, was a giver and not a take and a wonderful husband.

Survivors include his wife Dianna Lansdale of the home in Stringtown; son Jacob Lansdale of Stringtown; daughter Della Loveland and husband Jeff of Ardmore, OK; grandchildren, Hallie Lansdale, Colten Lansdale, Faith Loveland, Braydan Lansdale, Laruisa Lansdale of the home, and Alyssa Loveland; parents, Jackie D. and Glenda Ruth (Moore) Lansdale of Stringtown; brothers, Randy Lansdale and wife Lori of Ennis,OK and Joey Lansdale and wife Shelly of Stringtown; uncle Johnny Lansdale of Sherman, TX; motherin-law Patricia Ingram of Coalgate; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dearl “Dearwood” Ingram, Debbie Ward and husband Johnny all of Cairo, Donnie Ingram, and Delilah Pebworth and husband Alvin all of Coalgate; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear and loved friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Lansdale; aunt, Marti Lansdale; father-in-law, Albert “Doc” Ingram; sister-in-law, Mary Lynn Ingram; and grandparents, Virgil and Rose Lansdale and Tom and Mattie Moore.

Casketbearers were Lee Wayne Seabourn, Nathan Lansdale, Nick Nance, Daniel Lansdale, Randy Hutson, Jacob Lansdale, and Eddie Lansdale. Honorary casketbearers were friends, riding buddies, hunting buddies, church friends, and those he worked with through the years.
