Funeral services for John Carl Stewart, a Coalgte resident, were held Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Bro. Eddie Hogue officiating, assisted by Bro. Ryan Meadows. Burial was in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.

John Carl Stewart was born on May 4, 1956, to John Robert and Edith Myrtle (Poole) Stewart, at Lynwood, California and passed away on November 17, 2025, at his home at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 13 days.

John was an account manager for Sitelogiq. He married Susan Raychell Sturdy on December 12, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were blessed with 26 years together, and he was loved and cherished by the entire family.

John was a member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church. He liked watching football. John enjoyed taking his boat to the lake, spending time with family and cooking. He loved cars especially his 1969 GTO Judge.

Survivors include his wife Susan Raychell Stewart of the home; sons, Dalton Stewart of Reston, VA and Matthew Stewart of Durant, OK; stepsons, Donnie Lee III and Tony Lee, both of Coalgate, OK; grandchildren, Lacey Lee of McAlester, Alex Lee, Hunter Lee, Tyler and Donnie Lee IV, all of Coalgate, Jacey Lee and Lilyanne Lee, also of Coalgate; greatgrandson, William N. of McAlester.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert and Edith Myrtle (Poole) Stewart; brother; son, John Robert Stewart; daughters, Veronica and Marcie Stewart; stepson Mark Ogle and wife Mordella Blanford.

Casketbearers were Dalton Stewart, Matthew Stewart, Tony Lee, Clark Longhurst, Eric Davis, and Kira Allen. Serving as honorary bearers were Dallas Ketchum, Johnny Dale Ward, Donald Compton, Joe Bachelor, Bill Sturdy Jr., and Richard Kearney In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to the following organizations: https://atokafood bank. org/donate, or https:// www.isandgsgolf.com/ donate-now.
