Service held for William Charles Standifer

Graveside services for William Charles Standifer, a Coalgate resident, were held Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Moore Cemetery in Clarita, OK with Allen Hicks officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Standifer was born November 21, 1963 to William and Betty Nell (Thompson) Standifer at Tishomingo and passed away December 6, 2019 at McAlester at the age of 56 years and 15 days. He attended Wapanucka High School and was a carpenter. William attended the Baptist Church in Bromide He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and traveling.

Survivors include his mother Betty Collins and husband Edgar of Bromide; father, William Standifer of Milburn; sister, Rebecca Collins of Bromide; brother, James Collins and wife Sheri of Bromide; uncle and aunt, Fred Thompson and wife Nancy of Oklahoma City; cousins, Stanley Elkins of Milburn, Annell Thompson of Bromide, and Robert Thompson of Oklahoma City; niece, Jessica Perry and husband Trey of Wapanucka; nephews, Jase Collins and Logan Hatter both of Wapanucka; along with other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and aunt, Lucretia Thompson.

Casketbearers were Clint Robertson, James Collins, Jared Truett, Jase Collins, Jimmy Don Toney and Trey Perry.
